Filling up with Nature Boy

Image
Over in New South Wales, at the Edgecliff BP service station, the cashier was treated to a sight which probably wasn't listed in his job description. A saggy, baggy naked man with no scruples about being in the altogether brazenly strolled up to the front counter to pay for his petroleum purchase. Was this Sydneysider, decked out in thongs and sunglasses, the legendary emperor showing off his new suit ? Anything is possible but I'm guessing no. I'm thinking it's more likely the guy's a nut. for more details click this >  link  or see screenshots below

Buffet Buffoon Binges 32 Sushi Rolls to Emergency Room

Image
This isn't the ideal way to try and attract attention to yourself. The delights of an all-you-can-eat buffet proved too tempting for Danielle Shapiro to resist. Gluttony was the order of the day as she shoved thirty two sushi rolls down her gullet in an attempt to get value for money. This was an all-too-much experience for her oesophagus and as major acid reflux took hold no amount of Gaviscon was going to save her.  She ended up having to be hospitalised but swears the love affair with sushi shall continue. for more details click  here  or see screenshots below ---

Doomsday Preppers Clear Supermarket Shelves (Again)

It's the same old, same old I'm afraid. Paranoid lunatics who are of the mindset that the world is about to end have been stockpiling toilet paper supplies like they did in the first half of 2020 to the detriment of you, I and everyone with a functioning brain.  There are some supply issues which I touched upon in a  previous post so it's not all end-of-the-world nonsense though. But unfortunately, because of the actions of some nutcases there are limits now being placed on toilet paper purchases as well as aspirin and certain types of meat. Thanks bedlamites! for more details click  here  or view screenshots below -

Aramex Australia (formerly Fastway) are quite possibly the worst courier service operating in this country. Maybe it sounds like a bit of a moan, and it is, but I'm not alone.  Gaze and ye shall witness one star reviews cascading like a never ending fountain of incompetence on the part of this service. The most prominent is their inability to actually deliver packages. Count me among those still waiting for theirs. It is understandable there being a bit of a delay because of Christmas, COVID and everything in between but this situation is appalling. I wasn't notified my package could be late.  I had to go to their site to find the notice below. Apparently, I'm not the only one. As I mentioned before in regards to reviews, plenty of other people are in the  same boat as me. When perusing through the reviews in the link above, it's evident that Aramex have been delivering poor service since the name change from Fastway (and it seems before as well). All I can do now is

Is the Zombie Cannibal Apocalypse Upon Us?

Image
I've come across a news article with a fearmongering headline  (much like this blog entry). Visions of stealing from the neighbour's cat's food bowl or subsisting on makeshift dirt sandwiches immediately spring to mind. By the end of the article, it reveals that some lines may be held up so there is that possibility that you may have to change brands or package sizing but there's still plenty of eats to be found. A bit of a non-story really. For more details, click this  link  or see the screenshots below -

Waiting for the Sun

Here I am in the early hours of the morning of January the third.  We've made it through to another year. Lather, rinse, repeat. As the 2020s trundle on, its a guessing game as to where its all headed. Obviously, there will be light at the end of it all but in the interim who can really say. As I slurp down some coffee and wonder about Monday, long term answers about the future will have to wait. The only thing I'm really concerned about is living in the now. Happy New Year.

... and now, 2022
