Today is Global Beatles Day
... and as a tribute of sorts, here's Only Seventeen by The Beattle-Ettes.
This was a rush job from 1964 produced by George "Shadow" Morton in the wake of The Beatles conquering the U.S. with I Want to Hold Your Hand.
Who were the band? Rumours have swirled around that it could in fact be the Shangri-Las, although this could be just a fanciful concoction. This came out just before they hit it big and Morton handled their production and a decent proportion of their songwriting duties.
