Let me see. I bought my current phone early 2016. Being the rather tight-fisted individual that I am, I was hoping to get at least another 35 years out of it - at the bare minimum.
No, not really. Planned obsolescence is very much part of the design when it comes to cell-phones. It's all part of a culture of junk that goes hand-in-hand with our very existence.
Excuse me if I come across as pessimistic. Not everything is that way, although one can be forgiven for keeping a jaundiced eye on Telstra, and being wary about this whole switch-over business, when past actions have proven this company to be at times less than reputable.
