Godawful Poetry for Godawful Times (number four)

your brain is reacting
your body is itching
your mind is expanding
no more speed dialling
or embracing resistance
your head full of nerf
makes sense of your actions
the advent of time
the new decade is here
the past is just that
you are the new year

[a note of clarification] This piece, from the first week of 2020, was lying around in the unpublished section of the blog. I don't know what it's about - maybe optimism for the new decade.

 It was previously up and then pulled for whatever reason (as the screenshot below confirms). It's pretty pretentious and thus has earned its place as well as its right to sit among the pantheon that is Godawful Poetry for Godawful Times.
