Lest We Foment
There I was in the early hours of Saturday morning the 26th, another ANZAC Day having been and gone, just lurking about on YouTube looking for a video or three to chill to (try watching free-to-air Tv without wanting to take to your receiver with a hammer), when I came across this advertisement.
Now, the ads on that platform are ropey as well as suspect at the best of times, so I'd thought I'd investigate further. And, if I'm being honest, some of the designs on those shirts are a little too cluttered for my liking.
I began wondering, though, were they from Australia or New Zealand, as one would reasonably expect?
The truth about the origin of the solicitation presented was then revealed - Hong Kong.
No shade on the people and country of Hong Kong itself, but due to the sacrosanct nature of the day surrounding the products that were up for grabs, I must admit to being overcome with revulsion.
